March, 2010 – MRGC Board Meeting February 2010 – MRGC Board Meeting – New Board Members were welcomed. Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary, and Treasurer were elected. 9th February, 2010 – AGM plus elections of New Board Members 3rd February, 2010 – MRGC Board Meeting February, 2010 – AGM - Nominations for new board Members opens January, 2010 – MRGC participated at the ICEi event in London sharing the LGA stand. Met with Lawyers specialising in EU matters to discuss potential actions at EU level. January 2010- MRGC Meeting with Economist Gordon Cordina on Economic Impact Assessment Survey on remote gaming industry January 2010 – First meeting held, of the agreed to bi-monthly meetings between the MRGC Board and EU Unit within the LGA. 4th December, 2009 – Christmas drinks and Nibbles 4th December, 2009 – MRGC meeting with MEP s 10th December, 2009 – Seventh Responsible Gaming Workshop was held by Gamcare 3rd December, 2009 – Sixth Responsible Gaming Workshop was held by Gamcare 26th November, 2009 – MRGC Board Meeting 9th November, 2009 – MRGC Board Meeting November, 2009 – Salary Survey Results Published with a comparative analysis with the previous year's results. 15th October, 2009 – MRGC Press Release on ‘Licenses
not Legal’ and BWIN and Liga versus Santa Casa September, 2009 – Landmark case of Bwin/Sta. Casa at ECJ. 23rd September, 2009 – MRGC Board Meeting September, 2009 – Salary Survey Questionaire sent out to all
members July, 2009 – Provided members with the option to put their
hyperlinks in the Members List on the MRGC website. June, 2009 – Live Streaming issue. Discussion taken up with
the LGA to resolve uncertainties in the handling of live streaming
of casino games. Draft Policy prepared by Management Board and sent
to LGA. June, 2009 – Entered into agreement with Country Profiler to work together on quality magazine on remote gaming in Malta. May, 2009 – EU parliamentary question re French Draft Law tabled by Maltese MEP, Dr Simon Busuttil in EU Parliament. 7th May, 2009 – Fifth Responsible Gaming Workshop was held by Gamcare April, 2009 - Met on various occasions with the LGA, tax consultants (appointed by Ministry) to discuss the Certificate of Conformity. It is hoped that the matter will soon be clarified. May, 2009 – Discussion with Ambassadro to EU, LGA and members re: Draft French Law. Feedback provided by members communicated to the relevant authorities. April-May, 2009 – concerns raised in meeting were discussed
with the new CEO. Met with the Acting CEO to discuss how the back
log could be tackled as members were constantly expressing frustrations
at delays. April, 2009 - Met up with the Ministry of Finance, Economy and Investment as the Ministry responsible for the remote gaming industry and the Lotteries and Gaming Authority. A number of serious matters affecting the industry were discussed with special emphasis made on Guidance Notes issued by the LGA that have created uncertainty and there has been no action taken by the LGA on these Guidance Notes. April, 2009 – Meeting held for Class 4 operators to discuss issues and concerns relating to the licensing process and regulator. April, 2009 – IT survey results sent to the Ministry. 23rd April 2009- Fourth Responsible Gaming Workshop was held by Gamcare 2nd April 2009 Third Responsible Gaming Workshop was held by Gamcare March, 2009 – IT survey was launched. March, 2009 – Prepared in collaboration with the Ministry responsible
for ICT an IT survey to be sent out to members and non-members alike. March, 2009 – New CEO, Mr Reuben Portanier of the LGA was appointed. 12th March 2009 - First Responsible Gaming Workshop was held by Gamcare February 2009 – Board met with BOV in an attempt to create a package for employers and employees in the gaming industry. February – April 2009 – MRGC board participated with LGA and consultants to discuss VAT issues and solutions. February 2009 – Established permanent office for MRGC at Regus Tower Business Centre. 21st January 2009 – MRGC Board Meeting January 2009 – MRGC participated at the ICEi event in London sharing the LGA stand. Also met with Gamcare to discuss final points of contract. A new banner was purchased for the occasion. December 2008 – Gamcare agreement with MRGC finalized. December 2008 – AGM and Christmas drinks held at the Radisson. Gamcare also gave a presentation explaining about the services they offer. December 2008 – Head to Head interview between Ms Daniela Grioli, Chairperson and Acting CEO of the LGA, Mr Michael Gonzi. November 2008 – Breakfast meeting at the Radisson where salary survey results were presented, presentation by Mr Warwick Bartlett and LGA, July, 2008 – Legal Notice on Anti-Money Laundering published. June, 2008 – Salary Survey launched with members and non-members. June, 2008 – Placed advert in Egaming Review. June, 2008 – Survey results for responsible gaming interest prestented to the board. April 2008 – Ms Vicky Azzopardi contracted to carry out market research with members on interest in participating in responsible gaming workshops. April 2008 – HP Laptop donated to MRGC by Systec. March, 2008 – The Research Bureau was selected to carry out the salary survey on behalf of the MRGC. March, 2008 – contracted C & C advocates after call for proposals to act as lawyers for the MRGC on a retainer basis. March 2008 – MRGC Board sent a letter to Mr Mcreevy, the Internal Market and Services Commissioner, EU regarding the possibility of setting up a meeting to discuss Member States actions against liberalisation of the remote gaming industry. March 2008 – Published advert in Egaming Review Malta Report. February 2008. – MRGC board met with HR Group which consisted of major rgaming employers to work together on HR matters. January 2008 – Sent out call for proposals for the carrying out of a Salary Survey. January 2008 – Board representative participated in 2nd workshop on Casino Guidance organised by FATF at PartyPokers HQ in London. January 2008 – Participated in ICEi, London sharing the LGA stand. Also published article and advert in LGA magazine and EGR magazine. December 2007 – Started reviewing proposals from responsible gaming organisations to enter into partnership for workshops, etc. December 2007 – VAT presentation by Deloitte followed by drinks and networking for Christmas. November 2007 – Board representative participated in FATF workshop on Casino Guidance for AML/CTF in Berne, Switzerland. November 2007 – New website launched with additional features including online registration. October, 2007 - AGM - 25th October. Held at Le Meridien - St Julians. Significant changes were made to the statute and a new Management Board was elected. 2nd August 2007 - NSO Workshop. The MRGC in collaboration with the
NSO is organising a workshop for operators to provide training on
the installation and compilation of the electronic version of the
NSO questionnaire that operators are required to submit on a regular
basis. 6th December 2006 - An important meeting held to discuss the UIGE Act of the USA and the monitoring of network traffic(Internet) 2nd November 2006 - Seminar organised by 192.com and IXARIS/Entropay with participation from MRGC 25th September 2006 - EGM to finalise Board Members and to approve revisions to the Statue 28th June 2006 - Annual General Meeting 2nd March 2006 - Italian Blocking 25th October 2005 - Briefing to Key Official 27th July 2005 - 1st General Meeting 14th March 2005 - MRGC Launch |
